Rules for Applying Voter ID Card Correction:

Follow the steps below to correct voter ID card online;

1. Visit the National Identity Card website services.nidw.gov.bd to amend voter ID card;
2. Register a National Identity Card account here with NID number, date of birth and address;
3. Login and go to profile option. Enter the incorrect information correctly from the edit option;
4. Go to the next step and submit the National Identity Card correction fee;
5. Finally submit the application by uploading the necessary documents as proof of the revised information.

The National Identity Card correction process is detailed below. You can apply for amendment of your voter ID card by following the process step by step.

Step 1 – Take scanned images of required documents

Before applying for correction of National Identity Card, you should scan the necessary proofs and crop them within the specified size. If you can't scan, place it on a table and take a photo from above.

Step 2 – Register on NID website

Login directly with NID number and password if registered on National ID site. If you have not registered first register from register option.

Step 3 – Correct the information

After login to National ID account go to profile option. There are 3 types of information, personal information, other information and address.

To modify the personal information, click on the edit button from the top right side. You will get options to modify the information as below.

Click on the tick option to the left of the information you want to modify. Thus, type your incorrect information correctly in accordance with the credentials. Then, click on the Next button.

You will see a preview and a revised version of the information you have edited. If everything is OK click next button again.

Step 4 – Pay the National Identity Card Amendment Fee

Now, you have to pay the fee according to the type of your wrong information. Remember, do not close what you have done so far on your computer or mobile. You have to complete the rest of the application again by paying the fee.

Step 5 – Document upload and application submission

Once the fee is paid, you can go back to the National Identity Card website and upload your documents as required and submit the application.

Step 6 – Download the Voter ID Card Correction Form

After submitting the application, return to the dashboard. Above you will find a link to download the application. Click on the link to download the National Identity Card Amendment Form and save it to yourself.

Payment of National Identity Card (NID Fee) through Development:

Login to your Bkash account from Bkash app to submit correction fee through Bkash. Then follow the steps below.

1. Go to Pay Bill option
2. Click on Government Fees option and select NID Service option.
3. Enter your NID number in English
4. Select your application type.
5. Pay the fee with your Bkash Account PIN number. 

How many days does it take to correct voter ID card online?

Online voter id card correction may take maximum 45 days if your application is correct. According to the rules of the Election Commission, the National Identity Card amendment application is approved or canceled within 45 days.
