What does it take to amend the national identity card?

The paperwork you need to submit depends on the type of information you want to correct. Different types of paper are required for each data correction.

What does it take to correct voter ID card name?

SSC certificate, driving license or passport is required for voter ID card name correction. If these are not available, copy of birth registration, government employment service book, marriage certificate etc. can also be given.

How to amend National Identity Card?

You can apply online for correction of any mistake in National Identity Card by uploading suitable proof. If the application is approved by the authorities, you can download the NID card online.

How many days does it take to correct voter ID card online?

A maximum time limit of 45 days has been fixed by the Election Commission for correcting the voter ID card. However, the application is approved within 20 to 25 days after applying properly by uploading the appropriate credentials online.

How many times can the voter ID card be revised?

If you make a mistake, you can request correction as many times as you like. However, a data can be modified only once. First time application fee including VAT - 230 taka, 2nd time 345 taka, 3rd time onwards any time 460 taka has to be paid.

How much money does it take to correct voter ID card?

It costs Tk 230 inclusive of VAT to correct voter ID card details and Tk 115 to correct other details. A total fee of Rs 345 will be charged for processing both the data together. That is, the fee is charged depending on the type of application. 

How do I submit the amendment fee to Bikash?

Login to your Bkash account from the Bkash app to pay fees through Bkash. And follow the steps below:

1. Go to Bikash Pay Bill option
2. Click on Government Fees option and select NID Service option.
3. Enter your ID card number
4. Select your application type.
5. Pay the fee with your Bkash Account PIN number.

Once the fee is paid, you go to the National Identity Card website and submit the application by uploading the required documents.

How to modify the smart card?

To correct smart card first register your smart card number and date of birth on services.nidw.gov.bd website. Login after completing face verification. Now modify the information by clicking on the edit option from the profile option. Submit the application by paying the correction fee and uploading the required supporting documents. If the application is approved, the information will be corrected and you will be informed through SMS.
